The process.
We prefer transparency. Here is what the onboarding process looks like at Verity.
Step 1Schedule your consultation.
Book a free 15-minute consult call to discuss your needs, ask questions, and see if there is a good fit.
Step 2Complete background forms.
Fill out an online background form so your first session can focus on what matters — your treatment.
Step 3Begin your healing journey.
Join your psychologist (in-person or online) and begin working together on your goals and growth. Our office is a renovated heritage house with warm wood details and a touch of mid-century design, creating a space that feels comfortable, personal, and a little different from a traditional clinic. Located steps from local shops and the river valley, you can grab a treat nearby and take a stroll through the ravine after your session. There is also ample free parking available.
The investment.
Our fees are set in accordance with the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta (PAA) most recent fee change. We do not offer direct billing at this time but plan to offer it soon.
Individual Therapy (50-minute session) | $235.00
Individual Therapy (80-minute session) | $350.00
Therapeutic Assessment (4-5 sessions) | $2500.00
Documentation & Administration | rates vary*
* Letters, form/application completion, phone calls, lengthy emails, etc. that occur outside of the therapy session are billed in 10-minute increments of the hourly $235.00 rate.
Low Cost Options coming October 2026.
We understand that the cost of therapy can be a barrier to care and aim to make our services available to those in need.
Our Provisional Psychologists offer their services at a reduced rate of $190.00 (50-minute session) and $290.00 (80-minute session) while obtaining clinical work experience and working under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist.
-
We do not offer direct billing at this time but plan to offer this soon. Stay tuned! Currently, we accept credit card and e-transfer payment.
-
Our services are by appointment only. No walk-in services. The available clinic hours are from 9am to 9pm but vary for each therapist.
-
Our therapists have a limited amount of sliding scale spots available. We hope to make therapy more accessible. If you are in need of sliding scale options, please email us to start the sliding scale application process.
In addition to sliding scale, coming October 2026, our students and provisional psychologists offer their services at a reduced rate while obtaining clinical work experience and practicum hours. They work under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist and their services may be covered by your insurance provider.
-
Your therapist requires a minimum of 48 hours notice during regular business days prior to the time of your scheduled session for cancellations and appointment changes (note: this excludes changing your session from in-person to virtual and vice versa). In the event of a missed session or late cancellation, your credit card will be charged for the full session fee.
An emergency may exempt you from this agreement. It is your responsibility to contact your therapist to discuss whether or not your situation constitutes as an emergency. This policy is in place to maintain integrity in the therapeutic relationship, protect your clinician’s time, as well as cover cost of resources put into preparing for your session and the loss of a session spot to other clients requiring treatment.
-
Both you and your psychologist need to be located in province where your psychologist holds licensure (which is currently AB and/or BC, Canada).
You need to have access to a phone and/or computer with internet and webcam. A secure wifi connection is recommended.
You are required to be at a fixed location for the duration of each session (i.e., not driving or walking).
The questions.
It's normal to have hesitations. Here are a few things our clients often ask before starting.
Still have questions?
Feel free to get in touch. We’re happy to help.
