About Lauren
Lauren is a Registered Psychologist who supports adults who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. She believes therapy is an opportunity to slow down, better understand yourself and your experiences, and develop greater awareness of the patterns that influence how you navigate the world.
Clients often describe Lauren as warm, thoughtful, and approachable. She balances compassion with curiosity, creating a space where clients feel safe to explore difficult experiences openly and authentically. Her approach is collaborative, focused on helping clients develop practical tools while also creating deeper understanding and lasting change.
Before becoming a psychologist, Lauren worked as a Registered Nurse. Her healthcare experience shaped her interest in supporting individuals facing medical trauma, health anxiety, grief, and major life transitions, while deepening her understanding of the connection between emotional and physical wellbeing. Lauren recognizes that stress, trauma, and difficult experiences are often carried in the body long after the moment has passed.
Lauren also has a particular interest in working with nurses, first responders, and other helping professionals. She understands the unique demands of these roles and how chronic stress, responsibility, and exposure to difficult experiences can contribute to burnout, trauma responses, emotional exhaustion, and a sense of disconnection from what matters most.
A central part of Lauren’s work is helping clients reconnect with the relationship between their minds and bodies. Through developing greater awareness and regulation, clients can begin to rebuild a sense of safety within themselves, better understand their experiences, and create meaningful change that feels authentic and sustainable.
Lauren draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and somatic approaches to support meaningful change. She believes therapy should be both practical and reflective, combining evidence-based strategies with deeper exploration of the experiences, beliefs, and values that shape a person’s life. Her goal is to help clients reconnect with their strengths, develop greater self-compassion, and build a more authentic relationship with themselves.
