About Jamie
Jamie is a Registered Provisional Psychologist practicing in Alberta. She became a therapist to empower clients to accept themselves, value their unique strengths, and reclaim purpose and meaning in their lives.
Guided by humility, compassion, and curiosity, Jamie creates a warm, collaborative environment. She centers clients’ unique needs, lived experiences, and identities to support positive therapeutic outcomes. She is committed to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based practice, and draws on Person-Centered Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT).
Having conducted research on the emotional impacts of the climate crisis, Jamie is especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating climate distress. Recognizing that climate distress is deeply tied to systemic issues, she strives to weave both individual and socially focused interventions into her practice.
Whether you’re looking to foster self-acceptance, gain insight, learn new coping strategies, regulate overwhelming emotions, or live in alignment with your values, Jamie would be happy to support you.
Outside of her work, Jamie enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
